In short, Phillipps represents a complete lack of respect for commitments and deadlines; workers who leave mess everywhere - including urinating/shitting outside of the toilet and sleeping in your beds; an overall absence of any quality; and damage to property. We had to cancel our contract with them after observing the way they "work" and find another company. In detail - we handed over the keys in February 2025 and were repeatedly assured that the works would be completed by May. This timeline was essential for us because we needed to decide whether to extend the lease of our rental apartment. The deadline was never respected; moreover, works had barely started by May. Nobody answered our emails or phone calls, and we had to visit their office in person just to receive a response. The absence of communication is very typical for Phillipps and continued throughout the whole project. In fact, the person who was supposed to take care of our project, Daniel Dinges, did nearly nothing, and the project was not moving forward. The work schedule didn't exist - workers came without any prior notice at 6am, frequently - they didn't come at all. Despite several requests, we never received a reliable work schedule, making it impossible to plan our daily lives. Workers regularly used our private bathroom despite being asked to use the guest bathroom instead. Bathrooms were repeatedly left in an unhygienic condition, including unflushed toilets, urine on the floor and around the toilet, and, on several occasions, feces splashes on the walls. I am disgusted even to mention it, but they also wiped their boogers using the walls and ceiling. The main part of the project for which we hired Phillipps was painting. The quality was extremely disappointing - walls were painted with pieces of old paint and construction rubbish, with multiple stains and defects. When we informed them about these defects, Phillipps said that if a defect is not visible from a 2m distance, they do not count it as a defect and do not acknowledge it as poor quality. We also requested Phillipps to apply wallpapers. They looked acceptable in the beginning; however, the workers damaged them during the works anyway and left multiple dirty handprints, stains, and scratches on them. The electricians were by far the weakest part of the project. A job that was promised to take around 2 months lasted nearly a year and a half due to their lack of attendance. They often never appeared for scheduled appointments or said that they had "forgotten" to come when you call them. In addition, Phillipps' work caused damage to our property. During the works, they managed to break wall radiators, cause a water flood, and break the boiler (it exploded with black oil splashes due to improper radiator installation, and the service company confirmed that this could have been avoided if the radiators had been removed properly). Although Phillipps acknowledged responsibility verbally, we are still waiting for compensation for the boiler repair (again, no apologies or compensation for living in a house without water and dealing with other inconveniences). On another occasion, after working in the attic, the electricians left a roof window open and locked the attic before leaving. We only discovered this after some time, when accumulated rainwater poured into the house through the ceiling door. When it comes to the billing part, there were multiple occasions when we noticed that Phillipps asked us to pay for work they had not done and provided misleading information and numbers. No solution was offered for any of the inconveniences and damages caused either. Unfortunately, the above-mentioned issues are not even half of our experience with Phillipps. However, I hope this will help others consider choosing a more adequate provider for renovation works.

E grousse Merci dofir un den Här Jörg an den Här Sascha. Alles an allem war d’Kommunikatioun, déi greisstendeels iwwert den Här Berwanger an och deelweis iwwert den Här Klären gaangen ass, professionell, zouverlässeg a sympathesch. Nach sehr zufriedenstellenden Malerarbeiten durch einen pensionierten Mitarbeiter in meiner Wohnung habe ich die Firma Phillipps erneut mit Reparaturarbeiten am Terrassendach, an der Fassade sowie mit Gartenarbeiten beauftragt. Leider verliefen diese weiteren Aufträge aus meiner Sicht nicht zufriedenstellend. Den angekündigten Kostenvoranschlag für die Gartenarbeiten habe ich nicht erhalten. Die Arbeiten am Terrassendach führten nicht zum gewünschten Ergebnis, und verschlimmerten den Schaden. Die Fassadenarbeiten wurden begonnen, sind aber bis heute nicht abgeschlossen. Auf mehrere E-Mails und Kontaktversuche habe ich bislang keine Rückmeldung erhalten. Die Schlussrechnung sowie Mahnungen habe ich hingegen bereits bekommen. Ich hoffe weiterhin auf eine Klärung per Einschreiben, damit die offenen Punkte abgeschlossen werden können und ich die Rechnung nach vollständiger Ausführung der Arbeiten begleichen kann. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich ausdrücklich die zuvor ausgeführten Malerarbeiten. Für die weiteren Arbeiten kann ich auf Basis meiner persönlichen Erfahrung leider keine Empfehlung aussprechen.

Nach 1 Monat Arbeit ist das Haus am Umzugsdatum nicht mal halb fertig gestrichen. Keine Hilfe, keine Lösung wird vorgeschlagen. Nicht einmal der versprochene Rückruf erfolgt am Umzugstag! Alle Ansprechpartner anscheuinend in Urlaub und der Kunde sitzt im Schlamassel!

Kostenvoranschlag angefragt und Termin vereinbart. Nach Termin nie eine Rückmeldung erhalten. E-Mails blieben unbeantwortet. Dann endlich nach Telefonat musste erneut ein Termin vor Ort gemacht werden, da Aufzeichnungen unauffindbar. Abermals ließ der Kostenvoranschlag auf sich warten und kam erst nach wiederholtem Nachfragen. Wir hatten Vertrauen verloren und uns für einen Mitbewerber entschieden, der teurer war. Rückfragen, ob der KVA gefällt Fehlanzeige. Phillipps scheint offensichtlich kein Interesse an neuen Kunden. Warum dauernd Radiowerbung, die viel Geld kostet? Das könnte man sich ja dann sparen. Und bitte, keine Standardantwort... lieber Schweigen und Abläufe ändern, denn wir werden sicher nie Kunden von Phillipps

This amazing company has done huge amounts of brilliant work to my big, old house. They renovated two bathrooms and bedrooms, changed carpets, fixed floors, redid flooring, did multiple wonderful paint jobs, installed carpets and doors, installed motorised rollerblinds, a 5 meter sunshade, instect screens and many other things. They helped clear up after a huge basement flood and then after a nasty leak in an unstairs pipe. They gave reliable and honest advice on every project I brought to them, no matter how small. They did all the prep for the kitchen installation which was rebuilt from the ground up. Mr Christian Szommer was my contact at the firm and he was outstanding. In all he co-ordinated over 30 projects. All were perfectly completed to an excellent standard. He was always contactable, helpful and full of good advice. Mr Thomas Igel and his amazing outdoor team rebuilt the huge terrace and the garden after years of neglect. I had written a much longer review but unfortunately there seems to be a limit to the length that can be posted on Google as I could write pages on all the work that Phillipps did. The quality of the workmanship is fantastic. All the workers were very respectful of the property and two lovely cleaning ladies came to leave everything spic and span. I am very grateful to everyone at Phillipps for their hard work, especially Christian Szommer who helped me through a very rocky year and Alex and Sacha who built the most amazing terrace.

We wanted to make some bespoke curtains for the living room and kitchen. Went to the showroom to see the different options and then an expert went to our home with more options within the style we wanted and also took the measurements to provide a quote. The quote indeed took some time to arrive but after we accepted it, they visited us again to take the final measures and explain how it would stay. The curtains were properly installed but they were too long on one side (ceiling was not straight…) and Phillipps promptly rectified the curtain and the issue was sorted. Great service. Courteous and professional people throughout.

Ist kommunikativ, fragt immer nach ob alles in Ordnung ist, arbeitet sehr präzise und sauber. Als Pluspunkt muss man die Freundlichkeit und die langjährige Erfahrung hervorheben. In Junglinster gibt es ein schöner Showroom mit all den Spanndecken. Ich kann Phillipps nur weiter empfehlen, und werde sicher ein weiteres Projekt mit der Firma planen.

Quotes only contain hourly fees (with an estimation of the hours needed) and state that material needed is not included. Will be billed as used. Some positions are not necessary at all, easy job for them but expensive for you. If you ask details, you don't get a reponse. Like most luxembourgish companies, not only in this business. I'm sure work will be ok, but you are supposed to just shut up and sign. No thanks I'd rather learn to do it myself.

Quite disappointed. We went to see them end of April to obtain a roughly quote for a bathroom. We were told it would take no more than a week and a half. It’s mid June and still nothing. When contacting them to figure out how long it would take them to finally finish, the only answer we got was: “We’re working on it” without giving any indication how much longer it would take. We were actually quite excited to work with them but feel quite disrespected now as we havent gotten any quote nor helpful mail in nearly 2 months. Expected more from this company.
