Be careful with Viessmann! Geothermal heating anytime, but never from Viessmann. Unfortunately, you only really notice the quality of a manufacturer when you have a problem, in this case when the heating stops working. Everything was normal at first: the heating failed completely, we called customer service and got an appointment two days later. Two technicians came, only to quickly determine: ‘This heating system is completely broken’ (oh really :-)) and ‘a new “circuit board” needs to be ordered; if it still doesn't work, we'll have to see what else we can do. We don't know how long delivery will take – until then, unfortunately, you won't have any heating’. Fortunately, we have a friend who took a look at the whole thing and has now at least got a kind of emergency mode up and running via the ‘integrated electric heating element’, so that we at least have hot water. Otherwise, we would have been sitting here without any heating or hot water. After ‘only’ three weeks, someone from Viessmann actually called my wife today and said they would send someone over tomorrow (no information about what they would do or whether the issue could be repaired). But tomorrow, of all days, we are both unavailable for business reasons – at which point he became rude and commented that ‘others would be happy if we came after three weeks’ and ‘then you'll just have to wait until beginning of next year’. (such a statement by service staff says more about Viessmann than any poor review). The worst thing about this is that if you are a young family with a Viessmann heating system, for example, are left powerless and without heating and, depending on their financial situation, cannot simply switch and install a heating system from another provider. So, whoever is reading this: Do your research thoroughly and ask different reseller which heating system provider is the worst when it comes to problems or spare parts. (I realized that I am unfortunately not the only one in this situation with Viessmann!)
